VANILLA BEAN AND MATCHA TEA LATTÉ

Matcha tea lattes are creamy, with the faint bittersweet green notes of tea and a touch of vanilla. A little honey goes a long way to sweeten this latte, while collagen peptides give it a boost of nourishment. Tastes delicious! And it’s a great morning wake up.
 
Ingredients
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons collagen peptides
  • ⅛ teaspoon vanilla bean powder
  • 1 teaspoon matcha tea powder
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon honey, optional

 

Instructions
  1. Pour the water into a saucepan, and warm it over medium heat. Whisk the collagen peptides, vanilla bean powder, matcha tea into the water. Whisk until the water is hot, and the powders dissolve completely.  (I use a hand held latte frother)
  2. Pour the milk and honey, if using, into the hot water and continue to warm it over medium heat until hot. Pour into a mug, and enjoy right away.

Serving size: 1 cup

Notes
If you avoid milk by necessity or choice, you can substitute a mixture of half coconut milk and half coconut water for the milk in this recipe, or substitute Tigernut Milk (recipe here.)
